CALLING THE 8TH REGION NET….CALLING THE 8TH REGION NET……

THIS IS A DIRECTED NET AND PART OF THE ARRL NATIONAL TRAFFIC SYSTEM.

WE CAN HANDLE ANY LEGAL TRAFFIC FOR THE 8TH REGION, WHICH CONCISTS OF MICHIGAN, OHIO, AND WEST VIRGINIA SECTIONS.

WE ALSO HAVE LIASON TO THE EASTERN AREA NET.

THIS IS…(YOUR CALL)…..MY NAME IS…..(NAME).. YOUR NET CONTROL FOR THIS SESSION OF 8RN.

IS THERE ANY EMERGENCY TRAFFIC……….?

DO WE HAVE A MICHIGAN REP….LIST CALL & TRAFFIC….

DO WE HAVE A N OHIO REP…….LIST CALL & TRAFFIC….

DO WE HAVE A WEST VIRGINIA REP….LIST CALL & TRAFFIC…..

DO WE HAVE AN EASTERN AREA REP….TRANSMITT & OR RECEIVE…LIST CALL & TRAFFIC……

DO WE HAVE A DIGITAL REP…..LIST CALL & TRAFFIC…..

ANY OTHER STATIONS FOR THE 8TH REGION NET?....LIST CALL & TRAFFIC…..

NOTE:  12:30PM SESSION EAN REP TAKES THRU TRAFFIC.  4:30PM SESSION EAN REP BRINGS IN TRAFFIC FROM EAN.

EAN TRANSMIT WILL REPORT TO 12:30PM NET.  EAN RECEIVE WILL REPORT TO 4:30PM NET. WITH OR WITHOUT TRAFFIC.

OHIO NET IS IN SESSION AT 4:30PM…CLEAR OHIO REP ASAP – INCLUDING BREAK IN COMMON TEXT TRAFFIC.

EAN REP, DIGITAL REP, OR TCC REP WILL TAKE THRU TRAFFIC.

LIST TRAFFIC FOR 8TH REGION BY STATE, OUTSIDE OF 8TH REGION BY AREA (EAN/CAN/PAN ETC)

ALL MESSAGES MOUST BE READ COMPLETELY ! IF IT IS A COMMON (CANNED) MESSAGE, READ IT QUICKLY.

SPELL OUT ALL ARL NUMBERED MESSAGES.  EXAMPLE:  “ARL FORTY, F-O-R-T-Y ; SIX  S-I-X”.

WHEN ALL TRAFFIC IS HANDLED, CLOSE THE NET AND RETURN THE FREQUENCY TO NORMAL USE.

NET REPORTS GO TO 8TH REGION NET MANAGER ASAP.  REPORT DATE/MONTH, 8RN EARLY/LATE, QNI-QTC-QTR, STATIONS BEGINNING WITH MI, EXAMPLE KB8RCR/M, WB8SIQ/O W3GEG/W N8CJS/E W8UL/D THEN ANY OTHER STATIONS. SOMETIMES ONE STATION WILL DO MULI DUTIES THEN GO: EXAMPLE:  WB8SIQ/O/E ETC.
